Frequently Asked Questions

How long do sessions typically last?

At Integrated Wellbeing, our approach is client-centered, recognizing that each individual is unique. There is no predetermined number of sessions or a one-size-fits-all solution. The duration and frequency of sessions depend on the individual, the type of integration required, and the specific challenges being addressed. Some clients find that a single session provides effective strategies to manage their challenges, while others may benefit from a series of sessions over several weeks or months.

How often will we meet?

Sessions are typically held once a week, with each session lasting one hour. However, the frequency can be adjusted based on your specific needs and goals.

What are the fees?

Located in Sathorn, Bangkok, session fees are 2,800 THB ($80.00 USD/ $110.00 CAD) per hour (60 minutes).

Prepaid multiple session are also available:

  • 4 sessions: 10,000 THB

  • 3 sessions: 7,200 THB

Great care is given to scheduling appointments to ensure privacy and minimize overlap between clients.

Both in-person and online sessions are available. Off-site sessions may also be arranged, depending on the location and the nature of the request. Every effort is made to schedule appointments with sufficient time to avoid client crossover. Please note that an initial free consultation is not offered.

Confidentiality

As a certified counseling and wellbeing practitioner, I adhere to a strict ethical code of confidentiality similar to that of a licensed therapist. I understand that privacy is a particularly sensitive matter, especially within the expatriate community. Having lived and worked overseas since 1999, I deeply respect the diverse cultural contexts and unique challenges of my clients. This experience allows me to provide a safe, respectful space where individuals can explore their concerns with confidence.

When is confidentiality exempt?

While your privacy is a top priority, there are specific circumstances where confidentiality must be breached to ensure safety and legal compliance:

  1. Imminent Threat

    • If the client poses a serious and immediate threat to their own safety or the safety of others.

  2. Billing Requirements

    • When limited disclosure is necessary for billing or administrative purposes.

  3. Coordination of Care

    • When sharing information is required to collaborate effectively with other care providers to support the client.

  4. Treatment Needs

    • When disclosure is essential to deliver proper care or treatment for the client.

Obligations to Break Confidentiality

In the following scenarios, confidentiality must be breached, and external assistance may be sought:

  • Detailed plans of future suicide attempts or other clear signs of suicidal intent.

  • Planned or imminent violence toward others.

  • Plans to engage in abuse, whether physical, emotional, or sexual.

  • A history of abuse or current experiences of abuse.

  • Anticipated or ongoing future abuse.

By maintaining transparency about these exceptions, I strive to create an environment of trust while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all clients.
